What was your biggest goal in opening this new store?

Our main principal was: a spacious and chic store, that was also modest and modern. We wanted to create an atmosphere where we would feel at home because we are more here than we are at home!

How did the design of the store come about?

We looked at various optical stores and visited several shopfitters. Ultimately we worked with The Creative Builders from Almere. We wanted a new look from someone who has not yet designed optical stores. Their designer developed our ideas, using a lot of inspiration from our first store in Nieuw Vennep.

What else did you find important?

We wanted everything in the store to be movable in the future. We can rearrange everything if we want. The only things that are fixed are the floor and walls!

Why did you choose the key-secured Alumina glasses posts?

We wanted to secure the sunglasses but still maintain contact with the customer. With the mechanically locked eyewear rods, you still need to approach the customer when the display needs to be opened. The designer chose the white color because it is very fresh.

What is most striking in the store?

It sometimes looks like a Formula 1 pit stop for the store! We have a flexible display window that we always decorate in a surprising way. Passers-by really stop to look and then easily walk inside.
